PRIVACY POLICY
Squat World Privacy Policy
Effective July 25, 2026
Squat World is made by Survivor Mountain LLC. This policy explains what information the app uses, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
Information Squat World Uses
- Account and profile information, including your Sign in with Apple identifier, chosen display name, private profile username, avatar, squat-style and safety preferences, and app settings. Squat-style and safety preferences may include postpartum or accessibility-oriented options. This profile information may sync privately through iCloud or CloudKit.
- Fitness and gameplay information, including camera-counted attempts, rep totals, squat performance scores, form metrics, challenge and Passport progress, Ghost history, Party scores, and match status. When you use Squat World Plus, this also includes personal goals and goal history, guided-workout completions, activity-timer sessions, user-entered equipment and load metadata, weekly journal notes, and saved yearly reviews.
- A custom profile photo you choose. It stays in the app's private folder on that device, is not uploaded, and is not shared through Game Center Party.
- Notification authorization and reminder preferences.
- Existing Apple purchase entitlement history when needed to preserve previously acquired content. Squat World does not receive payment card details.
- Basic diagnostics provided through Apple to help diagnose crashes and reliability problems.
Squat World does not request your email address or full name from Sign in with Apple. The launch build does not use Contacts, precise location, HealthKit, advertising identifiers, or third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
Camera And Squat Analysis
The camera is used during an active squat session to estimate body pose, count qualifying squats, and calculate form metrics. Camera frames are processed on the device. Squat World does not upload or retain camera video by default.
Saved attempts contain results such as rep counts, scores, form measurements, dates, and selected modes, not camera footage.
Squat World Plus goals, guided-workout history, activity-timer history, weekly journal notes, and yearly reviews are stored on that device for the selected profile. A user-entered load attached to a camera-counted squat attempt is part of that attempt's metadata and may sync with the attempt through iCloud or CloudKit. The app does not use journal text in Party or advertising.
Apple Services
Squat World uses Sign in with Apple for authentication; iCloud and CloudKit for private sync; Game Center for Friend and Global Party matches, Apple-managed player identity and social controls, and Apple-managed Game Center notifications; the iOS local notification system for optional reminders and locally generated match notices; and StoreKit to verify existing Apple purchase entitlements. Squat World does not register for its own remote push notifications in this release. Apple processes information under its own privacy policies and account settings.
Squat World uses the Sign in with Apple identity token to authenticate the app account and does not retain an Apple access token or refresh token. The app deletes its Supabase authentication account during account deletion when that service is configured.
Party And Game Center
Friend and Global Party matches use Apple Game Center. Game Center may process Apple's player identifier, nickname, photo, selected match rules, submitted score details, round results, and match timestamps under Apple's policies. Squat World does not put your app profile username or custom profile photo into Game Center match presentation.
Other Game Center players may see the game-facing information needed for a match. They do not receive your Apple ID, email address, custom app profile photo, camera video, journal notes, or private attempt history from Squat World.
Private Boards And Game Center
App-owned Global Boards and public score sharing are not available in this release. Personal Boards remain private on your device.
Party uses Apple's Game Center nickname and photo where supported. Game Center identity, matches, and Apple-hosted social controls are handled under Apple's policies and account settings.
Notifications
Notifications are optional. Squat World may schedule or show daily training and Around the World Challenge reminders, Squat World Plus goal and timer alerts, and Party turn or result notices locally on your device. Apple Game Center may separately show Apple-managed invitations and match activity notifications. Change notification permissions in iOS Settings, reminder preferences in Squat World, and Game Center notification settings through Apple.
Ads And Tracking
The launch build does not include an ad SDK, behavioral tracking, an AppTrackingTransparency prompt, or cross-app advertising.
Retention And Deletion
Local progress remains until you delete it or delete the app. Synced account, score, and matchmaking records are kept as needed to provide the features and maintain active or completed matches.
The in-app Delete Account control removes local profile and progress data, removes supported private CloudKit records known to the app, and cleans up supported legacy app-owned score or safety records if any exist for that profile. Game Center account and match data remain managed by Apple.
If deletion cannot finish because a required service is unavailable, the app keeps the account available and asks you to retry rather than claiming deletion succeeded.
Children
Squat World is not directed to children under the minimum age required by applicable law. Parents or guardians can contact us about a child's information.
